Freaky Friday

Last two days ago, I had one of the busiest, funniest, most awesome, happiest, saddest, most depressing, and all of the positive and negative adjectives that i can find in my Oxford Dictionary. I'm gonna recount what had happened to me for the past 2 days.

Thursday (22nd of September)
I already have gotten back most of my prelims result and its very bad. I felt really dissapointed not to my paper, but to myself, because deep down in my heart, i know that its all my fault. Deep down there, i know that i didnt do my best. Deep down there, i know that i didnt give all that i got. I dont know whether to feel good that the prelims are over, or to feel depressed that i got low marks for my prelims. I guess it is just logical to feel very, very bad about it and not to celebrate, but i guess im not a logical person. Yeah, i celebrated like there's no tomorrow for one whole week! Although i passed all the subjects, i still need high and impressive results for me to be accepted in Canada's university. I feel really guilty because my parents had done everything for me to go in the university and all she asks is impressive grades.. Grades, the only thing that i needed to have just to complete the objective.. The only thing that can make my parents happy.. The only thing missing for me to go into university.. The only thing that i needed.. And i couldnt have it. I guess that im destined to fail. Destined to be unsuccessful in life. But that's no fact. After this week of fun, i'll give it all i've got to score as much A's as i could. I'll study day and night if i have to. I know i can do it. Now i have this pull factor, because i fell in the first try.. This is a threat in my life and i wont let it happen again. I guess for everything that i do, i need to go down before i can go up.. As for Newton's 3rd law: "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." and in the movie Batman Begins: "Why do we fall? So that we will learn to stand back up again." I hope these two quotations apply to me.

Biology - B3

Physics - B4

Im very shocked for my english, cuz i usually get B3's or even A2! Same goes for E. math and A. math cuz i usually get A1's for that! (not that im bragging).

Anyway, enough of this despondent recount. I'll now recall about the fun and happy part..
Thursday.. After school, Daniel, Weirong, Kok Chuang, Hsiu Ya, Samuel and i went to Fair price to purchase the materials we needed for the barbeque in my condomenium. We spent $80 for that. Then late afternoon, i went to Sheng Shiong to buy the chicken wings and other food stuffs. At night, my siblings and i prepared the food. My bro and sis made the pork and beef spaghetti, Spaghetti alla carbonara, Macaroni Salad, and i made the Jelly. We also marinated the Chicken wings. It was fun and tiring.

Friday (24th of September)
The day of the Barbeque. After school, i immediately headed home to do some last minute preparations. I asked samuel to buy additional stuffs for the spaghetti. As time went by, more and more people arrived. And that Shierly the menace! She said while in school that she wasnt going because she needed to study and other crap. And yeah, she was bluffing all the way! She came to my house saying, "are u surprise to see me?" and "Are you happy that i came?". Well, i gotta admit i guess i did feel very happy. At around 4 pm, Samuel, Chin Yong Jun Jie and me palyed basketball till 5. Chin Yong and I was hot and kept on scoring! Then the Chinese girls came and i got pressured because i needed to manage lotsa people. They want to go here, they want to go there, they want to go to the toilet, and so on and so forth. I was so stressed especially when 6 pm came and more people came and i had to bring the food down and start the fire and keep everyone patient and entertained and..... Now i know how tough it is to organise a barbeque party! When i brought the Spaghetti down, no one minded it because it was covered with aluminium foil. no one saw what was inside, so they continued chatting. But when i removed the foil, everyone drooled and gathered around the table.. Everyone quickly took a plate and tackled one another just to get a taste of the food! Lots of them said the spag was great except for the Carbonara because my brother accidentally spilled the milk while mixing it. The chicken wings was also a fiasco because the marinate solution was too concentrated, resulting the chicken to be very salty. I also forgot about the macaroni salad because i was saving it for dessert. When half of the people went home, then i remembered to display it.. Some people didnt like it because it was sweet. I like sweet stuffs, and for me, the salad wasnt that sweet. But for them, it was! At around 9 pm, we played tennis. No one knows how to play so the ball literally flew anywhere! Even over the fence! Then Natalia, Joel and Victor came at around 9.30, but the Spaghetti was already consumed. So they were forced to eat the salty chicken wings. Im terribly sorry for that Joel, Nat and Vic! Then at around 10 pm, before the chinese girls went home, we took our class photo beside the pool. I asked for the help of my condo's security guard. So the number was cut in half.. There were less people, so as the level of fun. Me and Netty decided to drink the big bottle of Carlsberg. We thought that no one would want to drink it because it has a bitter taste, but we were wrong! everyone wanted a cup of it, but a bottle wasnt enough. In the end, everyone had an almost equal share of the beer (1/4 cup each). Natalia asked me to make a speech before we drank, so i did. I dont know if i touched them, but my speech made me touch myself! (not literally!) . After that, we cleaned up and went in my house. Then Net and Chin Yong played Samuel's playstation 2 and Net kicked Chin Yong's ass! Chin Yong, YOU SUCK! Haha! Then as the night went on, more people left. Joel and Jun Jie went home at around 1.30 am! Daniel, Kok Chuang and Samuel slept over at my place and watched The omen.. The ending sucks! And that's it, the end of yesterday.

I'd like to use this last paragraph to thank several people for making this barbeque possible. First and foremost, I'd like to thank my siblings for giving a big help preparing the food, without complaining. Secondly, i'd like to thank Kok Chuang, Wei Rong, Daniel, Hsiu Ya and Samuel for helping me buy the things in Fairprice, especially samuel, who volunteered to help me buy and pay for the additional ingredients which cost $35. Daniel and Kok Chuang and wei rong for helping me organise the bbq and managing my financial expenses. I also wanted to thank ChinYong for buying additional drinks and Natalia for lending me the bbq equipments. To Netty for helping me get Nat's bbq stuff which i borrowed, which i forgot to take home from school. To KC, Dan, Wei rong, Chin Yong, Jun Jie, and the other girls and guys who helped me bring down the food form my house. To Shierly for keeping the fun to a constant level, and to the rest that i forgot to mention, for helping me with this BBQ party (So sorry if i forgot u). But my biggest appreciation is to the people who came. Without u all, this bbq wouldnt have been successful and fun. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you guys for your support and assistance! I am really really greatful for having awesome friends like you!
